Startup and New Business Financing Support
New businesses are judged on the plan, the projections and the owner. We help you present all three credibly.
The short answer
Startup business financing is generally available through SBA-backed programs, equipment financing, franchise lending channels and some conventional options — but nearly all of them require a written business plan, documented financial projections, relevant owner experience and an equity injection. OCS prepares those components and guides new owners through the process; approval remains with the lender.

Plan and projections included
Startup requests almost always require a full plan with 3-year projections and defensible assumptions.
Equity injection planning
We help you understand and document the cash contribution lenders typically expect from a new owner.
Experience narrative
Your background matters. We help present relevant industry experience in the way underwriters read it.
Realistic expectations
If a request is unlikely to be funded as structured, we tell you before you spend months on it.
Why startup financing is different
An established business can point to tax returns and financial statements. A startup cannot, so lenders substitute forward-looking analysis: projections, market research, the owner's background, and the amount of the owner's own money in the deal.
That shift makes documentation quality decisive. A vague concept and an optimistic spreadsheet will not survive underwriting; a clear plan with sourced assumptions can.
What we prepare for a startup request
- Business plan written for lender review, not for a pitch competition
- Three-year financial projections with a documented assumption set
- Sources and uses of funds statement
- Startup cost breakdown and working capital runway
- Owner experience and management summary
- Support with the lender's document checklist and submission
Common startup financing channels
- SBA 7(a) loans, frequently used for startup working capital and fit-out
- SBA Microloans for smaller capital needs
- Equipment financing, where the asset itself supports the request
- Franchise financing programs for approved brands
- SBA 504 when real estate or major equipment is part of the project
What you should have ready
Before a serious submission, expect to provide personal financial information, a résumé, the amount of cash you can contribute, any signed lease or letter of intent, and quotes for equipment or build-out costs.
